Dr Unterman has worked on the editorial staff of the Encyclopaedia Judaica, Jerusalem; as Jewish Chaplain at Manchester University, England and in the State of Victoria, Australia; and as lecturer in Religious Studies at Manchester University, at Tel Aviv University and at the Jerusalem Academy of Jewish Studies. For the last twenty six years he was also Minister of the Yeshurun Synagogue in Manchester. He is currently living in Jerusalem.
