AABS Elections - Call for Nominations

Dear list members,

On Friday, 11 December, 4.30 – 6.00 the AABS will hold its General Meeting at University of Sydney during which time it will hold elections for the following positions on the Executive Committee:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Liaison Officer
  • Student Representative
  • 6 Ordinary Members

Nominations Procedure:

  1. Each AABS member in good standing may nominate herself/himself or other member for any of the positions by emailing the Secretary, Drasko Mitrikeski, drasko.mitrikeski@usyd.edu.au. (There is no limit to how many nominations a member may make.)
  2. The Secretary will contact the nominee regarding her/his consent to the nomination for the position.
  3. Nominations should arrive no less than 5 days prior to the ballot (6 December 2009).
  4. Elections will be in a form determined by the Executive Committee.

AABS 2009 Conference Details
Venue: University of Sydney (The Refectory, Main Quadrangle)
Date: Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December 2009
  • General - $50 for both days ($25 for 1 day)
  • Students and unwaged - $30 for both days ($15 for 1 day)
  • Sangha - free of charge

Morning tea and lunch will be provided for both days. Dinner at neighborhood restaurants will be organized on both evenings.
