| Dear list members, The AABS conference,
originally scheduled for 16 June 2006, will be extended for one
day and now be held on 16-17 June 2006.
Explanation: at the moment we have 16 presentations but the
number will likely rise to 20 or more. The EC of the AABS
decided that at this stage of existence of our association it
would be beneficial if all participants have the opportunity to
hear all presentations and excluded the option of holding
concurrent panels. The fact that many of the participants are
coming from out of state influenced the decision. Also
influential was the fact that many of the presenters have never
previously met and are unaware of each-others' research.
We apologize for any inconvenience this cause to your
schedules.

| Conference registration fees: $80.00 AUS/ $40.00
AUS for students. This includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea
for both days. Please advise us of your dietary requirements.
Early registration will help us greatly in determining the menu
and selecting rooms. We appreciate your cooperation.
Registration and other conference details are available on the
conference page of our web site.
We are planning informal dinner on Friday evening, around 7.00
pm, at one of the nearby restaurants. Please notify us of your
intention to participate before 1 June so we can make
appropriate reservation. |

AABS Annual General Meeting | |
| As part of the conference, on Saturday, 17 June
2006, the AABS will hold its annual General Meeting and
Elections for the Executive Committee members. Call for
nominations and explanation of the procedure will follow within
a week but will be sent only to registered members. If you are
interested in nominating a candidate or taking active role in
the AABS organization, please register as soon as possible.
To register as member please fill out a
membership form and forward payment. |
